There are no street parking that is near the restaurant. There is a Green Parking which is outdoor parking near the bus terminal but the spaces there are very limited. There are no street parking in that area. Best bet are a parking garage which just down Dundas street.
I believe they accept credit cards. If they accept credit cards, they should be able to accept debit.
All day
Classic case of do not judge the book by the cover. This place looks so sketchy when you first show up... it's downstairs and just looks old but when you sit down and start ordering food.... it's all good, it's so yummy ....some of the best dim-sum you've ever had in your life. Staff is very friendly although some of them don't really speak English, but a smile is universal!!!! Definitely a fan!!!
Delicious food, good price, friendly staff! Will be eating here again!
Not a huge selection but food is good, staff are friendly and helpful, and they are quick.
The food is good for the price. Very affordable lunches.
Enjoyed this place that I hadn't been to in so long. We did dim sum and all the dishes were delicious. The place itself is not much to look at but who cares, food is yummy.
They refreshed the interior of the place but the quality and flavor of the food has gone downhill.
Food is good but dimsum is little pricey.
Wen for lunch with a friend. On the positive side the food was good and service as well. On the down side the food was a little less than hot. Might just be that the restaurant was chilly and we were slow but I think not. I will definitely be back to give it another shot.
Highly recommended, good price and good food. Very nice dumplings and good customer service. I will definitely be back.
I have enjoyed the standard dim sum menu here because it is inexpensive and near work but it is not inexpensive anymore and the quality of food is not worth it.
This is a family place where my family has a long history with the owners and servers. Lovely and comfy.
I came cross the neighbors, and thought why not. First I was was a bit skeptical because it is at sort of basement but it turned out good. Staffs were friendly and their dishes were very decent and with some home-made products. The place is clean as well. Price is also reasonable. Will be back!
Good food at a great price with fast service. There's was good on our table before everyone managed to sit down
bad. a disgrace of Chinese food. I would highly NOT recommend my friend to come here. the dim sum is not at the right temperature. price is overpriced.
It used to have great food and barely acceptable service. Seems like it's under new management for a year or more. The service is much better but the food is really not. It is markedly less good. The selection of dishes is narrower and the quality of the dumplings has really suffered. They are doughy and somewhat chewy. We might street looking for a new venue.UPDATE: Went back again recently - much better than last time. Wider range of items and all better quality than before my previous review. No longer thinking about looking for a new venue.
Great hidden gem for dim sum. Shhhh... don't tell everyone :)
Basement restaurant. Absolutely no frills. Clean and bright though. Good dimsum in good portions at very reasonable price. And they come quite quickly, hot. Excellent value for money.
Love this spot for family lunch. Dim Sum is delicious and fast! The dining room is not too loud, well lit, and spacious. Definitely check it out if you’re looking for a spot near the Eaton Centre or china town. We LOVE them :)
Not spectacular, I just happen to LOVE this place: plastic on the tables, kitschy decor, moderate prices . . . and a typical selection of tasty DIM SUM! (Tip: If you haven't had dim sum before, I recommend going with an experienced friend the first time.)The stairway down to the basement location is rough (no wheelchair access), restaurant is clean, washrooms OK. Travel by transit is recommended downtown, but street parking has never let me down (1 block NW on Edward St).Other than recent price hikes, the place hasn't changed much in decades! :-)
My favorite dim sum place in Toronto. The tea is really good and the staff are friendly. Quick service too.
New Treasure is a hidden gem beneath the streets of Toronto! My husband and I stumbled across this place by accident and were skeptical at first. There seemed to be no one in the restaurant at 7:00 on a Tuesday evening. That being said, we had attentive service and honestly - great dim sum!! Our favourite dish was the Fried shrimp and chive dumpling. We were pleasantly surprised. While the decor is a bit outdated and the building itself quite old, the restaurant had a certain charm that only a true Toronto Dim Sum fan can appreciate. Would be happy to return!
This little chinese restaurant serves an all day dimsum menu and other chinese dishes you'll find in typical restaurants. The food was decent and the location was steps away from the downtown core. It is a quick casual spot to eat and chat with friends.
One of the best places for Cantonese Chow Mein in Toronto!
Wonderful and consistent Dim Sum on weekends. Always fresh and always a great price! Been going here off and on for years.
great food and great service! crispy chicken, spring rolls, fried shrimp wontons, and other menu items we ordered had a plethora of flavor. the ambience of the dining room is comfortable, and the service is friendly ! will definitely come back :)
My favorite dimsum resturant in Toronto. As a Cantonese, I have tried most of the famous dimsum resturants in Toronto and this resturant is my favorite so far. The Shumai (Steamed pork and mushroom dumpling) here is a must try. The Shumais contain large chunks of meat which provide a complex mouthfeel and the taste is very savory and the umami. The steamed ribs and chicken feet are also very good.
I have been going to this restaurant over 40 years and I tell any friends who will listen about the food. The only reason it is NOT 5* is the atmosphere is sometimes unfriendly to white guys later in the day. This has never stopped me eating here because ALL Chinatown is unfriendly to Caucasions. It is not only whites who are discriminatory. It is the food that brings me back NOT the people.
A very small, quiet and below ground Chinese restaurant that serves all day dim sum.The menu is very reminiscent of my childhood with about 40 dishes served by someone in a white shirt and tie on top of a plastic disposable table cloth. The har gow and sui mai is definitely juicy. While the beef rice roll seems to be reheated since the roll seemed to maintained the shape of the plate when I picked it up. The pork buns were very rich in flavour. The glutinous rice with preserved sausage looked the same as the rice rolls.Atmosphere is very traditional despite being empty midday on Sunday. Staff are friendly and keeps their eye out for you when you've cleared your plate. This place can easily seat parties above 4 but perfect for a small family gathering.
GREAT Dim Sum. Take anyone and everyone I know that likes dim sum here, and they're always impressed and ended up coming back. Definitely a must try.
Dim sum in the heart of the city. Just a few blocks away from the Eaton Center. Located on Dundas Street, in basement level. A bit of a hole in the wall, but never disappoints. Push cart dim sum during the work week until 1pm, then order as you like afterwards. Quality is good, however price is up there because of the location. Approximately $40-50 for two at lunch.
Nice staff ,not much option for vegetarians though, but good experience!
Below average food, from dimsum to stir-fried items. Do yourself a huge favor and go to one of the other Chinese restaurants in Toronto.
Good but expensive as compared to other dim sum places.
One of the better dim sum locations in downtown.
If you want to travel back in time to a late 80s dim sum restaurant, this is the place to be. Just walk down, open the door and time travel just magically happens, it's pretty cool. Your mind starts trippin itself out, wondering if you really went back in time, or if it's still today's date. Like is the beginning the end or is the end just the beginning? The dim sum itself is actually pretty bad to a point that we had to laugh about it and I look around to see how this place still exists. After a quick scan I could see why. Dim sum carts still a thing here which is cool. A few items from the carts didn't sell fast enough as I ate it and suffered the liquid dumplings.
Arent we all glad peoples eatery closed. I sure am.
If you want the best experience, go for lunch. I've been going to this place for a long time. Trust me on this.
No carts. Cooked to order. Everything was delicious.
I've been coming here since take your kid to work day, 1999!
Did not understand the concept of split bill... they said no I said hell yes .....I'm changing my rating to a better star because the food was good ...but it should not take 30 minutes to pay
Food is good and priced well.
Clean. Dim Sum OK. Rest not so great.
Good food, affordable prices
Best dim sum in all the land. The've got the carts to bring the dim sum around. My go to spot.
I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a teenager and I have always enjoyed the services and food! The location of the restaurant could at times post difficulties for new customers since it is situated below ground level and it is not wheelchair accessible. Most customers are regulars and the restaurant offers terrific value on the food they serve. They have tasty and value priced lunch specials and we never left hungry or disappointed!
Always awesome dim sum..... been going there for years.
My friend led me to this place. It's, like, in the lower basement level of the building and the signs are rather obscure but I liked that! Overall, this place feels like one of those places you go "only if you know". The food was great too! I mean, real dim sum place -- Not one of those (for lack of better words) "white people friendly" dim sum place.
The food's not bad, given the price. The price is average. The service is quick but if you want the servers to be super friendly and very attentive, this is not that place. They'll get you a table and do the necessities but nothing above and beyond. I've gone back a few times. It's always packed at lunch time.
Food here is decent. The atmosphere is kind of lacking and the staff can be quite impatient or rude at times.
A great dim sum place. Highly recommend it. Good food but if you are looking for ambience this is not the place. Friendly staff as well.
